Its Thursday, just finished my last class of the week, and I'm headin back to the Ferry tonight. Lookin forward to seeing the likes of John Locke, Barry Badrinath, and Returnofthenick amongst other legends. From the looks of it, we shall be having a real fun, relaxing weekend. Today I'm throwing it back with a little Nice & Smooth. Classic song here, and real real underrated.
The next throwback I've got goin on is a much faster paced song, but what else would you expect from Red and Meth? One of my favorite songs of all time, regardless of whether it is new or old. Here's to the freakin weekend.

Throwback Thursday
Finally Thursday has arrived. Feels like its been a month since the weekend. I guess that's what happens when you have to study nucleotides and ribosomes for 20 hours. Anyways, before I get into this Throwback Thursday, I'd be silly not to mention the epic collapse we saw with the Red Sox last night. By far the wildest night of baseball I've ever seen. Just back and forth, non stop action. The way everything went down you would have to think it was fixed, it was that crazy. Makes it even sweeter that I watched in a house full of Red Sox fans, and saw them go from confident to devastated over the span of 2 hours. Classic. This first song goes out to all those Sox fans today draggin ass all over the place.
This second throwback has some more relevance to certain posters/readers than others. Throws it back to a classic night @ Santo Sanders' house, maybe Freshman year of high school. I don't want to get into the details, but I def spewed that night. Nobody Beats The Biz.

Throwback Thursday
It's been about a month since everyone has been back to school, gone out on Thursday night, gotten smashed (no pun intended), and fucked up their entire Friday. Thursday nights are the epitome of college. The song I'm about to post has absolutely nothing to do with Thursday nights. This is one of Ladies Love Cool James' few good songs, but its a classic. My question is, is it corny to be getting down with a chick, pause to turn on a sex playlist, and then get back into it?
The next throwback has some current relevance, as Fabolous has been in the news lately for his beef with Ray-J at the Mayweather v. Ortiz fight. Fabolous tweeted making fun of Ray-J playing the piano and performing a "concert" in front of about 5 of their homies at $ Mayweather's home in Vegas. Ray-J didn't take well to the humor, and apparently punched Fabolous at the Mayweather fight, and then went on a radio station and went pretty buckwild. Regardless, despite Fabolous' image being a skinny guy, I still side with him, and am pretty sure he would kick Ray-J's ass, or at least his crew would.
And here's the Ray-J freak out on The Breakfast Club. HILARIOUS.

Throwback Thursday
Can't go wrong here. I think this was Rich Boy's only hit song ever. Classic.
Next up is the one and only Lenny Kravitz. Probably the most famous Lenny out there. Either him or Lenny Wilkens. I know Dirk Diggler is going to cream in his pants when he sees this throwback.

Throwback Thursday
First of all, I apologize to all the ladies that sit on the computer on Thursday's and wait for me to post my 2 throwback songs. I was a lil too busy yesterday, so my apologies again.
Song is the tits. Back when I was in my younger pimpin' days I totally envisioned myself going up to a broad and tellin her I could make her a celebrity overnight. Seeing that chick with the fat cake, and just letting her know. Bottomline is, we're having a party tonight, Dr. Shaku will be in the building, and we're finding some chicks to tag team....and make em overnight celebrities.
Classic song. When is the last time you heard this?

Throwback Thursdays
It's Thursday again which means that its time for some throwbacks. Here's a jam I heard on the radio today comin home from lunch. Gotta love some Mary J.
Next song is a personal favorite, def something I used to bump as a middle-schooler thinking I was real fresh with my all sweat-jumpsuit outfits (didn't wear jeans till high school). Jay-Z and UGK tell it like it is.
"You know I thug 'em, fuck 'em, love 'em, leave 'em Cause I don't fuckin' need 'em"

Throwback Thursdays
Came across this tune in my collection of throwbacks today and felt like I had to post it. Children's Story by Slick Rick is just a real simple, smooth song where Slick Rick tells a lil story.
Due to the anniversary of Biggie's death yesterday, I figured I had to feature him on Throwback Thursdays. Picking a specific song was a tough choice, but as I was listening to some FunkMaster Flex yesterday he said that "Who Shot Ya" was the hardest Biggie track, if not hardest track of all time. Not sure I agree there, but the song is without a doubt a throwback.

Throwback Thursdays
Big night on the horizon. Barry Badrinath, Santo Sanders and I will be attending a "Blacked out and White" party at a local club. Really feelin like this could be a great night, and looking to build on an already successful week. No better way to throwback this Thursday with a lil Ice Cube's "Today was a good day". Here's to today being a good day, and to hopefully an even better night.
The 2nd throwback song is a real smooth sounding jam from Warren G and Nate Dogg. If you haven't heard "regulate" in a while, then heres your chance to get back at this song. I know this song is a personal favorite of ReturnoftheNick's so I'm showin him some love after a rough week of work for tha kid. Enjoy ladies and gents, here's to getting super lite tonight.

Throwback Thursday's
For Throwback Thursday's today, I'm gonna dish you a real popular early 90's dance song by Bel Biv Devoe called "Poison", and an old school love song by Ladies Love Cool James. By the way....Is there a fresher look than a retro flat top?

Throwback Thursday...DFMS style

In honor of it being throwback thursday, I would like to add a little twist. Every Thursday, I am going to give the green line community a recap of legendary DFMS/ early DFHS couples. What the reader needs to do is rate 1 star, 2 star, 3 star, 4 star or 5 star. At the end of this academic school year, using my media magic, I will make a video tribute to the number one couple. We start here.
Surp and Crystal
Who could forget these two lovebirds frolicking in the forest of puppy love. From paintball parties, to modified athletics, to wartching chick flicks, these two cuties did everything together. Sadly, the relationship ended roughly. With good ol Liz having to call Crystal and explain that young Surp was no longer interested. Surp would eventually move on to bigger and better things like Keg Feeding, while Crystal soon left the DFMS scene. Poor surp, the only time he looked worse the day of the breakup was in the pic above.

Throwback Thursday's
Today is a very important day @ The Green Line. Not only does today mark the beginning of my 21st birthday weekend celebrations, it marks the debut of Throwback Thursdays. Every Thursday we will feature a few songs that you haven't heard in a minute, bringing that old school vibe to The Green Line. With that said, here's a personal favorite of mine by Keith Sweat. This guy really had it goin on back in '96, and it doesn't get much smoother than this.
