WAIT WHAT??? Did all day AP just say what I think he just said. AP just made $3 million dollars last season and is scheduled to make $11 million dollars next season (If there is a 2011-2012 season). Listen AP, you play a game, and get paid an unreal amount of money to play a game most people play just for fun. Adrian is one of the best players in the NFL, and is usually pretty quiet in the media. This is why it is shocking to see a person of his caliber and character making comments like this. Comparing slavery of any form to playing Professional Football is absurd and outrageous.
Here's the quote from Peterson
"It's modern-day slavery, you know? People kind of laugh at that, but there are people working at regular jobs who get treated the same way, too. With all the money," Peterson continued. "The owners are trying to get a different percentage, and bring in more money." (Adrian Peterson)
AP is just concerned about money, and comparing it to slavery is not the right comparison.
