Giants Vs. Eagles Outlook

The Giants are coming off a kind of a big win verse the Rams, and is now looking to take down the Eagles. The reason why it was kind of a big win is because the giants had to prove they could beat up on a lesser team and not flop like they did against the Redskins. This Game verse the Eagles is going to set up the whole basis of how the Giants season is going to go. The Giants have to prove that they can beat a top ten team in the league if they want any chance of making the playoffs. Besides the fact that the Giants have had the worst luck in the world with season ending injuries, they have proven in the past that they can win with non big name players. The Michael Clayton signing is a typical Coughlin signing because it is a guy they know, who has been in the system, and can flash some play making abilities. Ultimately this means more targets for Nicks and Manningham. For this game I would like to see Brandon Jacobs get going, let the big man lower his shoulders and run over squids like Trent Cole. The Eagles are giving up 146 rushing yards per game, third worst in the league. This means the Giants running attack should be running all over the Eagles, especially since the Eagles have inexperienced linebackers like Casey Matthews running the D. The Giants have proven they can stop Vick and the Eagles, but for god shake if Matt Dodge punts to Deshawn Jackson again in a critical part of the game I’m going to kill someone. The Giants secondary is weak right now, but if they can pressure Vick with a variety of blitzes then the Gmen can get away with a skimpy secondary. This is going to a hard fought game, but in the end I think the Giants are going to win in a squeaker 28-24, with the Giants running backs rushing for a combined 175 rushing.
